Barcelona soon to present its proposal to LaLiga on Messi's signing
FC Barcelona received the words of Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, about Leo Messi with optimism.
The head of Spanish soccer's governing body showed his most collaborative profile and made it clear that he will not touch the rules of fair play to give a favorable treatment to Barça but also that he sees the operation as viable, Mundo Deportivo reports.
As MD has learned, FC Barcelona is finalizing the proposal it will present to Messi. The club plans to present its plan to LaLiga as a previous step before sending it to Jorge Messi, father of the Argentine superstar. As of today, FC Barcelona can submit its plan for review and approval to LaLiga's employers' association.
Another indication that LaLiga and its president, Javier Tebas, are not restrictive with FC Barcelona regarding their interest in signing Lionel Messi is that the president of the employers' association himself was interested in how the club was handling its efforts to be able to deal with a signing as important as that of the captain of Argentina's national team.
As reported yesterday in this paper, FC Barcelona's intention is to propose a return for one or two years to Lionel Messi, prioritizing the second scenario so as to be able to enjoy more of the Argentine in their ranks and because in this way, according to club estimates, Leo could play again at Camp Nou after the end of the phase of construction works during which members and culés fans will have to go to exile on Montjuïc. In that scenario, Messi could take part in FCB's 125th anniversary celebrations. Barça believes that his return would bring in at least 25% of annual revenue each season he is at stadium.
