Belarus, Kazakhstan agree roadmap to boost trade
Belarus and Kazakhstan have agreed on a set of measures aimed at expanding bilateral trade, following talks between senior officials in Astana.
According to BelTA, Belarusian Ambassador to Kazakhstan Alexey Bogdanov met on March 30 with Aitmukhamed Aldazharov, head of the QazTrade Trade Policy Development Centre, to discuss prospects for strengthening economic cooperation.
The meeting brought together key representatives from Kazakhstan’s trade and export institutions, including Aibar Taishikov, acting director of the Export Promotion Department at the Ministry of Trade and Integration, Aman Malgazhdarov, director of the QazExportPromotion corporate fund, and Baurzhan Janseitov, managing director of QazTrade.
Discussions focused on priority areas for developing mutual trade and identifying goods that could see increased demand in both markets. The participants reviewed potential export opportunities and ways to enhance trade flows between the two countries.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and approved a joint roadmap outlining practical steps to boost bilateral trade turnover.
