Belarus seeks to mirror Russia’s high-tech judicial reforms, says president
Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said he wants his country to adopt Russia’s experience in modernizing its judicial system, describing the country as willing to “follow” Moscow in implementing high technologies in court administration.
During a meeting with the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, Lukashenko emphasized the importance of further advancing and deepening judicial cooperation between Belarus and Russia, the Telegram channel Pool of the First, reports.
“You are working very seriously on computerization, the introduction of all new technologies, high technologies into the work of courts. I am for this. I cannot stand in court work this bureaucratic paperwork, which was always demanded from you, and so on. Therefore, we would very much like you to take us along as a ‘trailer’ and we would follow you in terms of introducing high technologies into the activities of the courts across the entire vertical,” Lukashenko said.
He emphasized Belarus’ readiness to adopt Russian practices in the field of judicial reform and digitalization.
“The main thing is that you, as has always been the case in our cooperation with you personally, do not turn away from us, but support us, as other agencies do,” he added.
