Belgium supports development of peace process between Azerbaijan, Armenia
Belgium supports the development of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, in which the EU plays a big role, said Belgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Michel Pietermans.
His remarks came at the event dedicated to the Day of the King of Belgium on November 15, attended also by the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Fakhraddin Gurbanov, per Report.
For his part, Gurbanov said as a result of the liberation of the occupied territories by Azerbaijan, new realities have surfaced in the region. Large-scale work is underway in Azerbaijan to restore the liberated territories and return the former internally displaced persons. In addition, work is underway to normalize relations with Armenia, according to him.
“We informed Belgium and other countries about the importance of all these processes,” Gurbanov said.
