"Birlestik-2024" international exercises finish in Kazakhstan PHOTO / VIDEO
The "Birlestik-2024" international operational-tactical command-staff exercises conducted in Kazakhstan have been concluded.
Military leaders from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan convened at Cape Tokmak in the Caspian Sea basin to observe the final tactical phase of the exercises, Caliber.Az reports citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
During the exercises, participants conducted operations aimed at neutralising illegal armed groups in the coastal region of the Caspian Sea.
The objectives outlined in the "Birlestik-2024" exercises were successfully completed with high professionalism and precision by all branches of the military involved, employing modern battle tactics.
The Azerbaijani Air Force executed a parachute descent and search-and-rescue operation, evacuating personnel from a downed combat helicopter on the battlefield.
Following the tactical episode, a ceremonial procession of combat equipment and aviation vehicles used in the international exercises took place. This was followed by the closing ceremony of the "Birlestik-2024" international operational-tactical command-staff exercises.
During the ceremony, Defence Ministers from participating states delivered speeches, offering positive assessments of the exercise's progress. They highlighted the effective utilization of modern combat equipment and capabilities, as well as the professionalism demonstrated by military personnel throughout the event.
At the ceremony attended by representatives from military attachés of 15 countries, a group of distinguished servicemen was honored with medals and valuable gifts, parading solemnly before the grandstand.
Following the ceremony, the leadership of the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry met with the country's personnel who participated in the exercises, commending their high professionalism demonstrated during the international event and wishing them success in their future service.
Azerbaijan was represented in the "Birlestik-2024" international exercises by a contingent of servicemen from commando units of the Land Forces, parachute descent and search-rescue service, Su-25 aircraft from the Air Force, as well as patrol and descent ships from the Navy.
