Blogger: Russian-Armenian oligarch’s party organises protests in Tavush

22 April 2024 14:12

Armenian blogger Roman Baghdasaryan has written that criminal Ruben Vardanyan still brings grief to the Armenian people.

“Residents of Noyemberyan district informed that the individuals financed by the Country for Life party [Vardanyan’s party] are behind the protests in Tavush [Tovuzgala]. A promise was made to give money to female beggars from Alaverdi town sitting on the roads of Tavush,” Caliber.Az reports citing Baghdasaryan’s message on Facebook.

“Vardanyan, imprisoned in Baku, still brings grief to our people. God will punish both him and his party,” the blogger noted.

Previously, the information went viral that Armenian residents who are against the process of returning villages to Azerbaijan in the Tavush district bordering Armenia blocked the road between Kirants and Voskepar settlements and lit bonfires on it.

Yerevan announced the agreement on individual sections of the border with Baku on April 19. They will stretch between the settlements of Baganis (Armenia) - Baganis Ayrim (Azerbaijan), Voskepar (Armenia) - Ashagi Askipara (Azerbaijan), Kirants (Armenia) - Kheyrimli (Azerbaijan) and Berkaber (Armenia) - Gizilhajili (Azerbaijan). The borders would be brought into line with the legally valid inter-republican border that existed within the Soviet Union at the moment of its collapse.
