Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland to join Manchester City
German football club Borussia Dortmund’s striker Erling Haaland will join Manchester City on a permanent transfer.
The confirmation of the deal was made by Manchester City on Tuesday.
"Manchester City can confirm that we have reached an agreement in principle with Borussia Dortmund for the transfer of striker Erling Haaland to the Club on 1st July 2022. The transfer remains subject to the Club finalizing,” the club said in a Twitter post.
Manchester City will reportedly pay €75 million to Borussia Dortmund for Erling Haaland’s transfer, while the player will earn 350,000 pounds a week plus bonuses in his new club.
This move will cost Manchester City a total of roughly €250 million, including the player’s salary and agent commissions of €50 million.
Haaland joined Borussia Dortmund in January 2020. He scored 85 goals in 88 games for the German club and authored 23 successful passes.
