Business expert: Female entrepreneur starts activity in Azerbaijan's Khojavend
Chairperson of the Azerbaijan Women's Entrepreneurship Development Association (AQSIA) Sakina Babayeva has said that a female entrepreneur, who is an AQSIA member, has started activity in Khojavend.
Babayeva made these remarks on the sidelines of an event on “Women’s Solidarity and Innovative Future for the Green World” dedicated to the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Baku, Trend reports.
“Currently, one female entrepreneur, who is a member of the association, has started activity in Khojavend. In total, five entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector and public catering have already started working in Khojavend,” she added.
In an empowering move for women's entrepreneurship, the Azerbaijan Women's Entrepreneurship Development Association (AQSIA) has committed to providing start-up funding to 700 women entrepreneurs across various districts in Azerbaijan.
AQSIA's commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs is not just about financial support; it's a comprehensive effort to bolster women's role in the economy and society. Babayeva detailed that AQSIA has organised approximately 2,000 events and 150 craft exhibitions, alongside entering into 40 memoranda, executing 25 grant projects, and conducting over 330 seminars. These initiatives are aimed at providing women with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to launch and sustain their businesses successfully.
One of the key aspects of AQSIA's approach is building a strong network of support for women entrepreneurs. By facilitating connections between women entrepreneurs and stakeholders in the business ecosystem, AQSIA ensures that these entrepreneurs have access to a wide range of opportunities for growth and development. This network also serves as a platform for sharing knowledge and best practices, further enhancing the capacity of women entrepreneurs to thrive in competitive environments.
