Carpet Weaver's Day celebrated in Shusha with interactive performance "How a carpet is born" PHOTO
Within the framework of the International Culinary Festival organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the State Tourism Agency from May 5 to 8, Azerkhalcha OJSC presented an interactive performance "How a carpet is born" for local and foreign guests.
The show attracted great interest among the audience, and tourists themselves took part in the process of weaving carpets. It should be noted that, along with cooking, an extensive presentation of Azerbaijani culture and art in general took place at the festival, Trend reports.
On the Carpet Weaver's Day, the management of Azerkhalcha OJSC congratulated all employees who contributed to the development and popularization of the art of carpet weaving, and wished them success in their future endeavours. Representatives of state bodies working in different regions, youth and schoolchildren also visited the workshops and congratulated the carpet weavers.
Along with local artists, Azerkhalcha OJSC also cooperates with foreign artists and designers. Negotiations are underway on mutual cooperation and the creation of carpets based on the works of the Israeli artist Rami Meir, as well as on holding exhibitions and selling Azerbaijani carpets in both countries.
