Chain collision disrupts Formula 2 race at Azerbaijan GP

A dramatic chain accident has halted the main Formula 2 race at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku.

A multi-car collision occurred at the start of the race, involving five vehicles, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The crash resulted in the deployment of a red flag, signalling an immediate suspension of the race. The incident caused a temporary pause as race officials assessed the situation and worked to clear the track.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 started on September 13. The main race will be held today and the winners of Formula 1 and Formula 2 races will be determined.

Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been held in Baku since 2017.
