Chechnya’s Special Forces University to be named after Putin
The Russian Special Forces University (RSFU) in Gudermes will be named after Russian President Vladimir Putin, Gazeta.ru reports, citing Chechen head Ramzan Kadyrov’s Telegram channel post.
The head of the republic said that the decision to name the Russian Special Forces University after Putin was made at the time of the founding of the university. However, according to him, for this, the RSFU had to justify the purpose of its creation.
The head of Chechnya added that over the past two years, the special forces university has become an all-Russian gathering center and the best military training for fighters from all over the country.
“I officially declare that the Russian Special Forces University will bear the name of Vladimir Putin,” Kadyrov emphasized.
