Chickens with portraits of Pashinyan Action in center of Yerevan
Armenian activists have brought chickens with portraits of Nikol Pashinyan and the date 05/08/2018 (the date when Pashinyan became a prime minister) under the song of Pipo Franco "Ki-ki-ki, ko-ko-ko" to the center of Yerevan.
So, they decided to celebrate Citizen's Day, established by the Armenian authorities, the Armenian media reports.
One of the founders of the movement, Ara Zohrabyan, considers this day a fake holiday.
“There are speeches about “proud citizen”, but meanwhile the citizen is now humiliated as never before. The main thing now is to preserve national dignity. Our slogan - get rid of fears and cowards. In 2018, when they came to power, they sowed fear. These cowardly people have led us to defeat. And chickens are a symbol of their cowardice,” he said.
The activist who brought the chicken was immediately detained, although he himself was indignant, because the action is peaceful. “Then stop the chickens,” he said while was pushed into the police car.
They detained not only the activist who brought the chickens, but also Vahagn Chakhalyan, a representative of the movement. The police said that on suspicion of possession of weapons. Which surprised him a lot.
