Iranian president stresses dialogue with protesters to foil foreign manipulation
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian urged the country’s authorities to reassess their behavior and policies toward citizens, stressing the need to prevent external forces from exploiting domestic unrest, Tasnim News reports.
“Recent experience has shown that our sworn enemies, including the Zionist regime and its Western backers, are constantly attempting to provoke, sow discord, and divide Iran. They have tried to turn social protests into a civil war,” Pezeshkian said, highlighting what he described as deliberate efforts to exploit popular grievances.
The president emphasized that the government must listen attentively to peaceful protesters and address their genuine concerns.
“We are obliged to reconsider our behavior and actions toward the people in order to deny our adversaries’ opportunities to exploit protests and foment hatred,” he added.
