Child among three killed in recent Russian attacks on Kherson region

A 6-year-old girl who was injured during Russian shelling of the Dniprovskiy district in Kherson on December 3 has died in hospital, local authorities reported.

Alexander Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, shared the news on his Telegram channel, stating, “Unfortunately, Russian terrorists have claimed the life of another child in the Kherson region. The 6-year-old girl who was wounded yesterday in the enemy artillery attack has died in the hospital.”

Prokudin noted that medical personnel fought to save the girl’s life, but her injuries were too severe. Her father, a 49-year-old man, was also hospitalised with blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to the pelvis. His condition is currently assessed as moderate.

According to the Kherson Regional Military Administration, over the past 24 hours, Russian shelling has killed three people in the region, including a child, and wounded seven others. Twenty settlements, including the city of Kherson, came under fire. The attacks caused damage to four private homes, an administrative building, and a private vehicle.

This incident follows a similar tragedy reported on November 26, when a nurse from the Kherson City Clinical Hospital and her 6-year-old son were killed by explosives dropped from a Russian drone.
