CIS governments approve 25 documents to deepen integration
Heads of government from CIS countries approved 25 documents aimed at expanding integration within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) during a meeting in Belarus’ capital, TASS reports.
High-level delegations from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, along with Turkmenistan represented by its vice prime minister and Armenia participating via videolink, endorsed three strategies for the development of the CIS through 2035.
Among the adopted documents are strategies on:

Scientific and technological development

Digitalisation of key multimodal transport corridors

Information society and digital economy, including an action plan through 2035
Additional approvals include:

Implementation plans for the second stage (through 2030) of the CIS Framework Program for Peaceful Nuclear Energy Cooperation

Economic development strategy

Construction pricing concept with implementation plan
CIS governments also adopted long-term plans in forestry (through 2035) and a series of agricultural measures addressing locust control, rabies, foot-and-mouth disease, and avian influenza.
In a further display of regional cooperation, CIS leaders agreed to declare 2026 as the Year of Health Protection, and approved provisions for centres dedicated to technology exchange and innovation collaboration.
The session included both restricted and expanded meetings, underlining the bloc’s commitment to coordinated economic, scientific, and social development.
