CNN: Netanyahu to speak with Trump on June 13

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to speak with US President Donald Trump later today, an Israeli official confirmed on June 13.

The exact timing of the call remains unclear, but the official noted that Netanyahu is also set to hold a situational assessment on June 13 amid ongoing military developments, Caliber.Az reports via CNN.

A US official also confirmed that Trump plans to speak with Netanyahu, though no further details were provided. 

Earlier, Trump acknowledged that he had been informed of Israel’s planned strikes on Iran before they were carried out. However, he emphasised that the United States was not involved in the operation. He added that he is closely monitoring the unfolding situation and has spoken with Netanyahu several times in recent days.

Israel has launched a wave of strikes on key strategic sites in Iran, focusing on elements of the country’s nuclear infrastructure, ballistic missile facilities, and senior military leadership.
