JPost: Four killed in Iranian missile strikes on central Israel
At least four people have been killed in Israel following a series of missile strikes launched by Iran, Israeli emergency services confirmed on June 14.
Among the dead is an Israeli woman who succumbed to critical injuries early in the morning of June 14 after being wounded in an earlier strike. A second fatality was confirmed after a fourth round of missile attacks, while two additional people were killed in a direct hit on a residential area in Israel's central district, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
The strikes triggered widespread chaos and damage across the Gush Dan region, which includes Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan. Israel’s Fire and Rescue Authority said it received numerous emergency calls following the missile onslaught overnight on June 13.
The Israeli military reported that Iran fired over 150 missiles at Israeli territory in multiple waves, including a second barrage minutes after the first. Sirens sounded across the country as the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) had sent an initial warning on June 13 to civilians to take shelter.
On the evening of June 13, a senior Iranian official told CNN that Israel is “facing a dark night ahead.”
According to the IRNA news agency, as part of its retaliatory actions, Iran has fired hundreds of ballistic missiles toward Israel in response to Tel Aviv’s strikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic.
