Date of Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix may be changed

The date of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix of Formula 1 in 2023 can be moved.

Report informs referring to the website torcedores.com that this is due to the fact that the holding of the Chinese stage of the race is in question.

It is not ruled out that the Grand Prix at the Shanghai circuit will be postponed due to the deteriorating situation associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in China.

If this were to happen, the time gap between the race before and after the Chinese Grand Prix would be four weeks, which is unsatisfactory for the organisers. In order to reduce this possible interval to three weeks, the Grand Prix of Azerbaijan could take place one week earlier than originally planned.

The calendar published on the official F1 website says that the race will take place in Baku on April 28-30.
