Estonia imposes flight restrictions near Russia, Latvia borders
Estonian aviation authorities have once again introduced flight restrictions in certain areas near the borders with Russia and Latvia, due to drone activity, the Tallinn air traffic control service has announced.
Responsible for managing the country’s airspace, the agency said temporary restricted zones have been established in several parts of the airspace, Caliber.Az reports, citing Russian media.
Entry and presence of all aircraft are prohibited in these zones without permission from the police or border authorities, with the exception of authorized flights, including drones.
The restrictions are expected to remain in effect until the end of May 13.
Similar measures were previously introduced earlier this month and remained in place until April 12.
