International forces hindering peace between Azerbaijan, Armenia Eurasia Press Fund says
President at International Eurasia Press Fund Umud Mirzayev has said that various international forces are hindering peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Mirzayev made these remarks during a roundtable discussion on "Civil Society Against Ideological Attacks on National and Spiritual Values" in Baku, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
He emphasised that Azerbaijan has put an end to the existence of the separatist regime in its territories.
"Armenia, on the other hand, is in no rush to sign a peace agreement. On the contrary, this country is strengthening its military capabilities. The joint exercises conducted by various countries with Armenia clearly indicate that some forces are not interested in establishing peace in the region," Mirzayev noted.
He noted that the ideological pressure on Azerbaijan also reflects this trend.
"In the fight against such pressure, the key role should belong not only to the media but also to civil society. Our goal is to achieve fair peace," he added.
