European aerobic gymnastics championships open in Azerbaijan's Ganja Photo
The 14th European Championships in Aerobic Gymnastics (senior category) officially opened on November 14 at the Ganja Sports Palace in Azerbaijan.
Senior athletes will compete across five disciplines: individual, mixed pair, trio, group, and aerodance. Qualifying rounds will take place over the first two days, with the finals set for November 16, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The opening ceremony featured a parade of national flags representing the participating countries. Attendees also heard remarks from Niyazi Bayramov, Head of the Ganja City Executive Power, and Edvard Kolar, Vice President of the European Gymnastics Organization.
The ceremony continued with an artistic performance titled “Nizami’s Treasure,” inspired by the enduring works of celebrated poet Nizami Ganjavi.

Following the cultural program, the first competitive routines began, with individual events opening the championship schedule.
The tournament runs through November 16, bringing together Europe’s top aerobic gymnasts for three days of high-level competition.
