Ex-Armenian FM supports revanchist archbishop as Prime Ministerial candidate
Former Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan voiced his support for Revanchist Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan to become a candidate for Prime Minister amidst the movement pushing for the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan.
"I think Galstanyan is on the right track, he said yesterday that he is already holding consultations with parliamentary political forces to start the process of expressing no confidence in Nikol Pashinyan in the National Assembly.
The Constitution, of course, requires that these forces also present their candidate for Prime Minister. At the moment, I think the candidate for the post of the head of the government should be Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan himself," Oskanyan said in a video posted on Facebook, Caliber.Az reports via Armenian media.
It's noteworthy that Galstanyan had demanded the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a gathering at Republic Square on May 9.
