Ex-judoka of British national team to compete for Azerbaijan

Former Great Britain judoka Achelia Toprak (57 kg) will compete for Azerbaijan.

"Being a member of the GB World Class Performance program, I am grateful to everyone for their support. I thank all the participants of the program, coaches, managers with whom I have worked together for the last 7 years. A lot of pleasant memories. To fulfil my Olympic dream, from now on I will compete for Azerbaijan. I am very grateful to the Judo Federation of Azerbaijan for the support provided," Toprak said, azerisport.com reports, citing the British Judo Association.

Previously, she became the vice-champion of the youth EURO and is also a prize-winner of various tournaments among adults. Note that her father is a Turkish Cypriot.
