F1: British racer Russell wins Australian Grand Prix

British Mercedes driver George Russell claimed victory in the opening round of the Formula 1 season at the Australian Grand Prix on March 8 in Melbourne, according to a foreign sports outlet.

Russell’s teammate, Italian driver Kimi Antonelli, finished second, while Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc took third place. Lewis Hamilton, also representing Ferrari, crossed the line in fourth.

Current world champion Lando Norris of McLaren finished fifth, and four-time champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull came in sixth.

The next Formula 1 race will take place in Shanghai from March 13 to 15.
