F1 confirms innovation for Azerbaijan Grand Prix

Formula 1 has officially confirmed that the six stages of the season will be held in a Friday qualifying and Saturday sprint format in 2023.

Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Austrian Grand Prix, Belgian Grand Prix, Qatar Grand Prix, US Grand Prix and Sao Paulo Grand Prix sprints are planned to be held, according to azerisport.com.

The sprint courses have been selected based on the results of research aimed at determining the most suitable options for this weekend format.

Opportunities for overtaking and intensive racing, as well as the availability of high-speed sections were taken into account.
