Football players break multiple records during latest 2022 World Cup games

The 2022 World Cup proves to be unlike any other of the previous tournaments. “Unfortunately, this is not the happiest day for us,” Pelé added. “My record was set almost 50 years ago, and nobody had managed to get near it until now. You got there, kid. That shows how great your achievement is”, his post concluded. 

The captain of the English national team striker Harry Kane scored his 53rd goal for the national team against France on December 10, breaking a record set by former England player Wayne Rooney, as the BBC reported. Unfortunately, this record also followed the exit of England from the tournament, failing to win against the French rivals.

According to Eurosport, the shining new star of the World Cup, Morrocco, has beaten the record of becoming the first national team representing the African continent to reach the semi-finals of the biggest sports tournament in the world, where they will face current World Champion title holder, France.
