Forbes: Türkiye starts reducing supplies of dual-use goods to Russia
In October and November 2023, Türkiye began to reduce the supply of dual-use goods to Russia, which can be used for military purposes.
Forbes came to this conclusion after studying data from the Turkish Institute of Statistics. The publication notes that the decrease in supplies at the end of last year occurred against the backdrop of the U.S. position, which requires compliance with sanctions in trade and financial transactions.
According to Forbes' analysis, the value of dual-use goods fell to $8.4 million in November 2023, the lowest since August 2022. The publication notes that the decline cannot be explained by seasonality, as in 2021-2022, no decrease in exports of this group of goods to Russia was recorded.
Exports to Russia of goods in the category "Electrical equipment for switching or protecting electrical circuits, as well as for making connections to electrical circuits" began to decline from September last year. According to Forbes, this category accounts for 39% of the total value of shipments of goods from the list.
