The Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024 has entered its third free practice session, marking an exciting phase in the Formula 1 calendar.
This session features all ten participating teams as they continue to fine-tune their performance on the Baku City Circuit, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The event, taking place from September 13 to 15, 2024, has seen intense action since its opening day. The first day of the Grand Prix featured initial free practice sessions and the qualifying rounds for both Formula 1 and Formula 2 teams.
Today's focus is on the third free practice session for Formula 1 teams, providing them with one final opportunity to adjust their setups before the official races. Additionally, Formula 2 will see qualifying rounds and a short sprint race as part of the day's activities.
The climax of the event is scheduled for September 15, when the main races will determine the champions of both Formula 1 and Formula 2.
The Azerbaijan Grand Prix held annually at the Baku City Circuit since 2017, is expected to attract record-breaking global viewership this year. The Baku City Circuit Operations Company has noted that approximately 300 journalists, including around 200 international media representatives from prominent outlets such as Sky Sports, Motorsport, Canal+, Netflix, and The Sun, are covering the event.
