Four Azerbaijani wrestlers grab medals in U-17 World Championships

Four Azerbaijani wrestlers have won bronze medals at the U-17 World Championships in the Albanian capital Tirana.

Report informs that members of the national team Elnar Ziyadov (48 kg) and Aykhan Javadov (55 kg) were the first to take to the mat.

In the fight for bronze medals, the athletes defeated Victor Postica from Moldova (7:2) and Yuri Karapetyan from Armenia (5:2), respectively.

Elmin Aliyev, who competed in the weight category up to 80 kg, defeated Georgian Georgy Makharadze with a score of 6:2 and won the bronze medal of the tournament.

Mahir Gurbanli added the last bronze medal to the national team's trophy collection after a 1:1 draw with Finn Thomas, thanks to the principle of "last point", which fetched the victory for Gurbanli.
