Georgia, Kazakhstan discuss strategic upgrade to bilateral relations PHOTO
Senior officials from Georgia and Kazakhstan have discussed advancing bilateral relations to a strategic partnership level during a series of high-level meetings in Tbilisi, according to Georgian media.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze held talks with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev, focusing on the steady growth of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
The discussions highlighted increasing Kazakh investment in key sectors of the Georgian economy, including logistics, energy, tourism and agriculture, as both sides seek to deepen commercial ties and expand economic engagement.
In a separate meeting, Yermek Kosherbayev met with Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili to explore prospects for elevating bilateral relations to a strategic level.
The talks also covered current global political developments and ongoing international conflicts.
