Georgian PM urges US to take reciprocal steps for reset in bilateral ties
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze emphasized that a pivotal change in the relationship between Georgia and the United States hinges on reciprocal actions from Washington.
Speaking to journalists, Kobakhidze outlined that while Georgia is fully prepared for a reset in bilateral relations, significant improvements are dependent on the US taking counter steps, Caliber.Az reports per Georgian media.
Kobakhidze emphasized that Georgia is prepared for a reset in relations, acknowledging that much has been damaged in recent years. He stressed that while Georgia is ready for improved relations, progress hinges on reciprocal moves from the US.
“The main thing is that we should see counter steps from the US,” Kobakhidze stated.
“As soon as these counter steps are made, there will be an immediate breakthrough in our relations.”
