Hulusi Akar: We hope Putin and Zelensky to meet soon

Turkiye hopes that the meeting of the Presidents of Russia and Ukraine, Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky will take place in the coming days.

According to Caliber.Az, this was stated on his Twitter page by the Minister of National Defense of Turkiye Хулуси Акар.

"We hope that thanks to the proposals of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the two leaders will be able to meet in the coming days despite some difficulties," the Turkiye Defence Ministry quoted him as saying.

According to Akar, "Turkiye continues to contribute, to do everything necessary, including acting as a mediator, so that the humanitarian situation in Ukraine does not deteriorate and the ceasefire is reached as soon as possible."
