Georgian Prime Minister identifies sustained economic growth as top priority
Maintaining Georgia’s leading position in regional economic growth remains the country's foremost objective, Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has declared.
Kobakhidze underscored the importance of preserving Georgia’s growth momentum amid a dynamic global economic landscape, Caliber.Az reports, citing Georgian media.
“According to the latest data from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Georgia retains the top position in terms of economic growth indicators. The high growth rate is ensured by stable economic policy,” the Prime Minister stated.
The EBRD’s revised economic outlook indicates that Georgia’s real GDP grew by 6.5% in July 2025 compared to the same period in 2024. The Bank projects that the country will close the year with a robust 7% growth rate — a figure that reinforces Georgia’s status as a regional economic frontrunner.
Kobakhidze emphasized that a consistent and predictable policy environment has been instrumental in fostering investor confidence, driving development, and enhancing Georgia’s economic resilience.
