Hungarian PM: Ukraine to lose on battlefield even with Western support

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that Ukraine will fail to gain a victory over Russia on the battlefield even with the help of Western countries.

“More and more people in the EU are expressing the opinion that Kyiv will fail to win,” Orban said in an interview with Mandiner.

The Hungarian prime minister stressed that he had a similar opinion from the very beginning.

“Let's not kid ourselves that the Ukrainians will be able to win this war with our support,” he said.

Orban added that EU countries were wrong to render military support to Ukraine, and they still do not want to admit it. The EU countries hoped for Kyiv's victory, but it did not happen. They did not have a backup plan for this case, so they continue adhering to the main one.
