IDF airstrike stops terrorist approaching troops in southern Gaza
On Friday, November 28, 2025, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) identified a terrorist approaching Israeli troops stationed in the southern Gaza Strip, near the so-called “yellow line.”
According to the army’s press service, after confirming the individual’s identity, the Israeli Air Force carried out a strike that neutralised the threat.
“Following identification, the Israeli Air Force struck and eliminated the terrorist to remove the danger,” the IDF statement said.
The Southern Command emphasised that IDF forces remain deployed in the area under the terms of the existing ceasefire agreement and will continue operations to address any immediate threats.
Earlier, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) discovered the bodies of nine terrorists who had been neutralised within an underground terrorist network in eastern Rafah, according to an IDF spokesperson.
“IDF soldiers continue operations in eastern Rafah. During the course of these efforts, they uncovered nine additional terrorists who had been eliminated in the underground infrastructure,” the statement said.
The IDF indicated that these militants were likely neutralised by airstrikes as part of ongoing operations to dismantle the underground terrorist network.
“To date, more than 30 terrorists attempting to leave the underground infrastructure in eastern Rafah have been eliminated. Our forces remain in position in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to act to neutralise any immediate threats,” the IDF added.
Israel reportedly conveyed a proposal to Hamas through intermediaries regarding militants hiding in the Rafah tunnels. Under the proposal, all combatants could leave the tunnels and surrender. Those who do so would face imprisonment in Israeli facilities, with the possibility of later returning to Gaza.
