Interreligious dialog key focus at VI World Forum in Baku Combating radicalism & protecting sacred sites
At the VI World Forum of Intercultural Dialogue in Baku, a plenary session titled "Building Confidence through Interreligious Dialogue" addresses critical issues.
Allahsukur Pashazada, Chairman of the Board of the Caucasus Muslims (BCM), highlighted the imperative of countering radicalism, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and Christianophobia, as reported by Report.
Pashazada underscored that all religions denounce the desecration and destruction of sacred sites, including incidents like the burning of the Holy Quran in certain European countries. He advocated for a collaborative effort to combat such acts effectively.
During the session, Miguel Angel Moratinos, High Representative of the UN Alliance of Civilizations, expressed global concern over terrorism and proposed the mapping and protection of religious worship sites.
