Iran slams UNESCO for silence after heritage sites damaged in airstrike
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has condemned UNESCO for remaining silent after Israeli airstrikes reportedly damaged several 14th-century historical monuments in Iran that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites.
“Israel is bombing Iranian historical monuments dating as far back as the 14th century. Multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites have been struck,” Araghchi wrote on social media platform X, Caliber.Az reports.
