Iran tests Majid missile system in successful air defence drills VIDEO
Iran's Air Defense Forces successfully intercepted and destroyed enemy drones using the Majid missile system during the second phase of the 1403 Air Defense Force military exercise.
This took place in the southwest region of the country, highlighting Iran’s efforts to enhance its defense against potential low-altitude aerial threats, Caliber.Az reports, citing Iranian media.
With drones becoming a significant factor in modern warfare, Iran has focused on bolstering its defense systems to counteract these technologies. The exercise simulated a large-scale drone attack, during which Iran's air defense units employed both active and passive sensors to detect, track, and neutralize incoming threats.
Key to Iran's defense strategy is its integrated air defense network, which utilizes advanced visual monitoring systems designed to identify low-altitude intrusions. The Majid missile system, a crucial component of this network, successfully engaged and destroyed the simulated enemy drone within the designated exercise area.
The military exercise also tested the communication infrastructure that links various defense systems to central command centers. Secure multi-layered communications channels were used, alongside robust cyber defense measures aimed at protecting vital radar, missile, and communications networks from potential cyberattacks.
