"Israel will do everything to strengthen Azerbaijan, to prevent threats against it" Ambassador Deek on Azerbaijan's "difficult neighbourhood"

Israel does not use the term “strategic” carelessly. Azerbaijan and Israel are strategic partners, meaning that their partnership enjoys great depths and encompasses a wide range of fields.

The Israeli Ambassador to Baku, George Deek, spoke on those bilateral relations with APA.

He noted, that one of those fields is security, with Israel’s position on the Karabakh matter having been very clear: Israel supports the territorial sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

“We also understand, that Azerbaijan is located in a difficult neighbourhood: with neighbours that don’t shy away from threatening it; countries, that either openly or covertly threaten its independence and territorial sovereignty. We, as friends, will do everything to strengthen Azerbaijan and to prevent threats that could come from any forces against our partner Azerbaijan”, the ambassador stated.
