Israeli Air Force gears up for extended mission to dismantle Iran’s missiles
Spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin has said that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) is ready to conduct a prolonged operation in Iran until it successfully neutralizes the threat posed by missile capabilities.
Defrin confirmed that the IAF has initiated a large-scale wave of airstrikes targeting missile launch and storage sites in western Iran. These operations form part of a broader strategic campaign aimed at degrading Iran’s missile infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports via Israeli media.
“We have additional targets in Iran and are continuing our operations according to a methodical plan,” he said. “We are prepared for a prolonged operation until the threat is completely eliminated.”
On June 13, the military operation launched by Israel against key components of Iran’s nuclear and military infrastructure has escalated to a much harsher level. The objective remains the complete elimination of the Islamic Republic’s capability to develop nuclear weapons.
The Israeli Air Force has struck more than a hundred targets, deploying approximately 200 combat aircraft and over 330 precision-guided munitions, according to official figures. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) emphasises that this is a large-scale, coordinated operation targeting both military facilities and the nuclear programme infrastructure across the entire territory of Iran.
