Israeli Air Force intercepts rockets fired from Gaza, no casualties reported
The Israeli Air Force successfully intercepted three rockets fired from the Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed in a statement.
The rockets were launched towards Israeli territory from the southern regions of Gaza, Caliber.Az reports, citing IDF.
According to the report, the rockets were shot down mid-flight, preventing any potential damage to Israeli targets.
In response to the attack, air raid sirens were triggered in several communities located near the Gaza-Israel border, as a precautionary measure. Fortunately, the military press service confirmed that no casualties or significant damage were reported from the incident.
In the past week and a half, IDF operations resulted in the deaths of dozens of militants and the dismantling of key Hamas military infrastructure, including underground tunnel systems.
The Israeli Defense Forces also announced plans to extend operational control over the "Morag Corridor" and conduct ongoing counter-terrorism operations in the area.
This latest rocket attack adds to the ongoing volatility in the region, with occasional flare-ups of violence between Gaza-based militants and Israeli forces.
