ISW announces where Russia to deploy its "volunteer units"

According to ISW, reports from August 18 about Ukrainian strikes are affecting the Russian information space despite the fact that these reports were likely overblown.
As ISW reported on August 18, Russian sources largely reported on and disseminated these false or exaggerated reports, indicating broader Russian panic.
Russian authorities are noticeably stepping up security measures in Crimea, indicating growing concern among Russian authorities and civilians about the threat of Ukrainian strikes on rear areas previously considered safe.
The situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) on August 19 was almost unchanged despite the Russian Defence Ministry's statements on August 18 that Ukrainian troops would stage a provocation at the ZNPP on August 19.
As a reminder, in the first half of August, a series of large fires at airfields with munitions detonation occurred in Crimea.
