Italian environmental activists vandalize Roman Senate building VIDEO
Italian environmental activists targeted the Senate in the capital Rome on December 2 in a bid to draw attention to climate change by spraying orange paint on the building.
Video footage shared by the environmental group "Ultima Generazione" on Twitter showed members of the group vandalizing the facade of the Senate as their response to the government's policy on new drilling activities for natural gas and the reopening of decommissioned coal-fired power plants, as reported by Anadolu agency.
Italy's former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi said on Twitter that those who think they are defending the environment by vandalizing an institution’s building “understand little.”
