Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektanov visited the Heydar Aliyev Centre during his official trip to Azerbaijan.
Bektanov was briefed on the building, which is regarded as one of the unique masterpieces of global architecture, Caliber.Az reports
It was highlighted that the Centre's activities focus on the study and research of the state policies and legacy of Heydar Aliyev, the national leader of the Azerbaijani people.
During his visit, Bektanov explored several ongoing exhibitions, including those showcasing classic cars and musical instruments.
At the conclusion of his visit, the Prime Minister signed the Centre's guestbook.
Note that, the Heydar Aliyev Centre, designed by renowned Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, opened in 2012 and has become a symbol of modern Azerbaijan with its striking, wave-like form. Awarded the prestigious Design of the Year Award by the London Design Museum in 2014, the building’s unique design features no straight lines.
The Centre serves as an inclusive space, welcoming people from all backgrounds, and hosts a variety of exhibitions, both permanent and temporary, celebrating local and international art and culture. Permanent collections include a museum dedicated to Heydar Aliyev, a Mini Azerbaijan exhibition, and a classic car collection.
In addition to its exhibition spaces, the Centre offers a stylish cafeteria and a state-of-the-art auditorium for international events. The surrounding green park provides a peaceful escape from the city.
