Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina wins at US Open 2023

Kazakh player Anna Danilina has won the mixed doubles finals of the 2023 US Open in tandem with Harri Heliovaara.

Playing against American players Jessica Pegula and Austin Krajicek, the Kazakh-Finnish team won the match 6:3, 6:4, QazMonitor reports.

The spectacular Grand Slam finals match took 1 hour and 12 minutes.

The victory is historic for Kazakhstan since the country's national tennis players have never won a Grand Slam tournament in mixed doubles.

Before this US Open tournament, Danilina's best result was the final at the Australian Open 2022 in doubles.
