The competition, organised by the Club of Young Professional Cyclists, brought together cyclists from across the region, with participants racing through the streets of Khankendi and the surrounding districts of Aghdara and Khojaly, Caliber.Az reports per Azertag.
The event was aimed at fostering a culture of physical fitness among young people and supporting the growth of sports in Karabakh, a region that is undergoing a process of reconstruction and development after years of conflict.
Elchin Yusubov, Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan, greeted the competitors at the Victory Square in Khankendi.
Colonel General Madat Guliyev, Deputy Secretary of Azerbaijan's Security Council and a National Hero, also participated in the race.
The Bike Ride in Karabakh is part of a larger initiative to encourage the younger generation to embrace active lifestyles while contributing to the rejuvenation of Karabakh. Representatives of the Club of Young Professional Cyclists emphasised that similar events will continue to be organised in the future, further promoting cycling across Azerbaijan and encouraging more youth to take part in outdoor activities.
