Kremlin comments on possibility of Putin-Erdogan meeting
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov commented on the possibility of a meeting between Russia's Vladimir Putin with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
As reported by Gazeta.Ru, when asked by a journalist where such a meeting would take place, Peskov replied that it is under "tight preparations".
"There is an understanding that the meeting will be soon. With our partner countries, we usually synchronize the announcement of visits. We will soon inform on it, it is being prepared very tightly", Peskov shared.
According to the Turkish Sabah, the agenda would include matters such as the terms of the Black Sea Grain deal and the current routes implemented through Bulgaria and Romania, which was agreed upon in July 2022 under the mediation of Ankara for the safe transport of agricultural goods from Ukraine, yet failed to be extended on July 17,2023. The developing dynamics of the war in Ukraine would also be on top of the agenda if such a meeting should take place.
Caliber.Az recalls, that various media outlets in Turkiye and Russia speculated that a meeting of the heads of state could take place on August 31.
