Kremlin criticises businessmen betraying Russia to get rid of EU sanctions
Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said that the Kremlin does not understand either the logic of the sanctions themselves or the logic of their lifting by the European Union.
This is how he reacted to the news that European sanctions against three Russian businessmen had not been extended, according to Kommersant.
He noted that there are entrepreneurs who are ready to switch to anti-Russian positions for the sake of lifting restrictions, while there are those who defend their position in courts.
"As for getting out from under sanctions, there are businessmen who roll over to anti-Russian positions for 12 pieces of silver. These are traitors. Those who methodically defend their position in the courts - well done. But in general, all sanctions are illegal," Peskov answered a question during a press conference.
Earlier, it was reported that the EU authorities confirmed that three businessmen were removed from the sanctions list: the head of the group ESN Grigory Berezkin, ex-head of Ozon Alexander Shulgin, co-owner of "Nortgas" Farhad Ahmadov.
