Kyrgyz security forces nab 30 terrorists planning attacks
The Kyrgyz State Committee for National Security has announced that the security services arrested 30 individuals linked to a terrorist cell that was planning attacks within the country.
The State Committee for National Security revealed that the terrorist group’s activities were being coordinated by foreign centres associated with international terrorist organisations, Caliber.Az reports via Kyrgyz media.
The members of the cell were reportedly engaging in meetings where they advocated radical ideologies and raised funds to support their planned attacks.
The primary objective of the radical group was to launch a "jihad" against the constitutional order of Kyrgyzstan. The group also planned terrorist operations targeting key officials, security service members, and law enforcement officers within the republic. Additionally, authorities seized a video tutorial from one of the arrested members that provided instructions on how to manufacture explosive devices.
