Kyrgyzstan to host 11th Turkic States summit on economic integration, security
The 11th summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is scheduled for November 6, 2024, in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
The summit will bring together the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, along with the heads of government from observer countries and the secretaries general of the OTS, Caliber.Az reports via the organization.
Under the theme “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future and Security for All,” the summit aims to provide a significant platform for high-level discussions on the organization's agenda.
Leaders of the countries will discuss further development of multilateral cooperation within the framework of the OTS, make decisions on topical issues of the current agenda of the Organization, as well as sign a number of multilateral documents, including the final Declaration of the Summit.
Additionally, the Kyrgyz Republic will assume the chairmanship of the Organization of Turkic States for the year 2025.
The period of the upcoming chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Organization it is planned to carry out a number of activities to strengthen ties between the member states, create new opportunities for economic growth and improve living standards in the region.
